Clerkenwell Design Week
In May 2019 we had the privilege to be able to celebrate with other local craftspeople.
In this years exhibit we’ve combined pale pink furniture linoleum with rare brown oak veneer and a colourful terrazzo. The oak is not stained - it’s colour is due to a fungus that infects the tree and turns the wood a beautiful chocolate brown colour. These oak trees were all felled in London about 35 years ago, and sliced into veneers at Reliance Veneer only a few miles away in Clapton. They’ve been sitting there waiting for us to find them and make then into something beautiful ever since! We look forward to displaying another one of our kitchens in 2020, see you there!
